UKA & UKC announce opening of new club

Ulster Karate Association and Ulster Karate Council announce the latest addition to their clublist by opening a new club at The City of Belfast YMCA. The City of Belfast YMCA is located at Lagan Meadows in the Stranmillis/Malone area of Belfast, Tel 00442890684660 or go to www.belfast-ymca.org for full details.
 
The club will operate initially on Wednesday evenings @ 7.00pm and is open to everyone interested in learning karate. The principal instructor shall be Terence Boyle 5th Dan who teaches the WadoRyu style of Karate. WadoRyu is the second biggest style of karate practised today in the world. Sensei Boyle is the best known karateka in N. Ireland and is perhaps best known for his coaching ability, having coached champions at N Ireland (NIKB & UKC), British (BKF), European (EKU &WKC) and World (WKC) levels in his 30+ years in karate.
 
He has in the past been coach to the National side and Chairman of the N Ireland Karate Board. Presently he is Chairman of the Ulster Karate Council and is also a member of the 5 man World Karate Confederation Referee Commission which oversess the examination and performances of Referee's and Judges at Europena & World Championships.
